History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Jane was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Jane grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Jane. After a long history of fighting, Jane and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Geoffrey was born on a far eastern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Butcher. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and sabotage a competitor

History: Born to a Shoemaker, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Hunter for the past few years.

Motivation: To be a Shoemaker again.
