History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Roland and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: Born to a Fisher, her father struggled to pay the bills. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Seeks redemption; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day
