History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Charles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes brigands are coming to abduct people. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: The child of a Carpenter, who enjoyed hunting, Herleva was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Herleva grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Herleva. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture.
