She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Emma grew up listening to her mother's many stories. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
