Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. He takes great joy in being the best Cartwright in town.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Raymond alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He tends to his Cartwright job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Hadwisa lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind.
