History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His necromantic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Jacoba hails from a village terrorized by giants. In her 16th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage.
