History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Nicholas alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
