History: Born to a Sellsword, his mother struggled to pay the bills. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Gerald fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Ella was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She tends to her Animal Trainer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
