History: He was born in a small mountains village. Robert liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He was born into a rich family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Shane lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Shane's homeland. Shane decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. After a long history of fighting, Shane and his spouse have recently divorced.
