His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Aldous hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Motivation: Many brigands want him driven away; and someone believes him a fraud

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and retire the richest woman in the north
