She was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above herself and to hold her god always in her heart. History: She got into the Soapmaker business at a young age. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Eloise and her spouse have recently divorced.

Through the years after Aldous was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Aldous's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
