Ostracized due to the martial powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She's also a talented Bookbinder, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: Gerard is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Soapmaker arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Gerard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying sister.

Personality: She hates Humans with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. She is a great chef.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
