Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. The war was a terrible time for him, and William does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born in the east to a Farmer, William learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Through the years after William was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. William's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Gifted from a young age, Bernard studied abroad. After coming to the age of reason, Bernard took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Susannah is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
