His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
