Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Trym was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Trym and his spouse have recently divorced.

Her father taught her the rudiments of the Shoemaker arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She struck the Shoemaker job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and wants to work out more often

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
