History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Joan grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Joan. Being a Barrister kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: She is witty, but her monotone delivery comes off as unnerving She is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Laborer arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He now mingles about in high society.

Description: This woman is very fat, and prefers to wear the grand gowns of high society. She carries her fan with her everywhere and carries herself as the perfect lady. She wears her black hair down. She wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove her into the Mayor business.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ella fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
