He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Hugh was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Hugh was born on a far southern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Glassblower. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Sarah never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.
