History: Joan was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Through the years after Godfrey was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Godfrey's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Banker for hire.
