History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Herleva was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and many brigands want her driven away
