History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Emma was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: This fat western man has a bulbous nose and wears violet robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a spear, but if one is not available he will default to his falchion. His skin is also unnaturally pale. With a patchy blonde beard and wild blonde hair. He has gleaming, smiling brown eyes.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gilbert grew up listening to his father's many stories. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
