History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her father. Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying east to reunite her family. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Bellfounder they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Bather, and she later adopted a second daughter.

History: Avice lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents were killed by brigands in a raid when she was still a young child. The brigands captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.
