Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. The war was a terrible time for him, and Heward does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Heward was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. After a long history of fighting, Heward and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. A gifted student she started as a Gardener, but she got bored and became a Scribe. She tends to her Scribe job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: To be a Gardener again; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
