History: Melissa hails from a village terrorized by orcs. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by drow. Avelina was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the drow.
