History: Born in the south to a Sage, Mary learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Sage. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Shoemaker. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. She passes on several rewards to people in need. She makes a point to leave places better than she found them.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Hunter work with an outfit from a few towns over. Hunter work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Hunter for the past few years.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Norman embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Norman grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
