History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Katherine was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Katherine decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. Bernard abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and he's looking for his big break

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Sailor they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Bather, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and regain custody of her daughter
