He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Map Maker they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Barrister, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: Born in the south to a Navigator, Conrad learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
