Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. When Alex reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Alex was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

Personality: She is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, she's a very lovable idiot. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Anne was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it
