History: Born in the south to a Banker, Gerard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. Her father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Oriel was heart-stricken from the event, and her mother started working long hours to provde for them.
