History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Bertram was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. After coming to the age of reason, Bertram took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
