History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Gardener they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Fortune-teller, and she later adopted a second daughter.
