When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: He was born into a rich family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
