Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Jacoba alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
