History: Herleva was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Herleva took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up sai and armor she uses now. She bought a sai and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

Through the years after Heward was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Heward's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Ostracized due to the divine powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out.
