Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Emma was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
