History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Godfrey was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. After a long history of fighting, Godfrey and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Born in the west to a Roofer, Jocelyn learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Cook, but he got bored and became a Roofer. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: He was born in the east. Gerard was born on a far eastern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Spice Merchant. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

Description: She wears bulky black painted plate armor, and she perpetually has her hammer ready. She has dyed her greying brown hair a little too much giving a sharp brown color. She is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Ella lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
