History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Godfrey was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. Hadwisa enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Hadwisa was born on a far western plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Navigator. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Eva alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many illithids want her driven away; and to get a good night's sleep
