Personality: He is happy with his job as a Miner. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Shane is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he wants revenge against gnolls

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she wears a large hat to cast shadows over her face and wears ponchos to better hide her body. Her auburn hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a clover scrunchie. Her thin eyebrows rest above her beady gray eyes.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. The war was a terrible time for her, and Rosamund does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and she feels kind of lost in life
