History: The child of a Bounty Hunter, who enjoyed hunting, Matilda was taken on many hunting expeditions. When Matilda reached her early adolescence her Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature crossbow.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents enrolled him in a Paladin school at a young age so that he could practice his martial talents. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Personality: Gerald is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Gerald was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: She is a hateful person. She taunts others and blames them for her problems. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing dancing.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Melissa was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love.
