History: Charles was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. A freak accident while working with his Mortician father left him crippled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Jane has worked very hard to control her curse. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
