History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of her oldest sister, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. After a long history of fighting, Avelina and her spouse have recently divorced.

She is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright violet and grey, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. She wears her red hair up. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines hazel.

Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when she was still a young child. The dire rats captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
