Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. A fanatic, her devotion to her small selection of gods is unquestionable. She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: The child of a Courier, who enjoyed hunting, Joan was taken on many hunting expeditions. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a old dungeon. She would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Joan took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up sai and armor she uses now. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Joan was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Soapmaker but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Gerard was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. After a long history of fighting, Gerard and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her father. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and to get a good night's sleep

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Merchant. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Merchant for hire.
