Personality: She is highly sensitive about her name. She loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. Jacoba is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the west. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

History: Adelard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
