History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Anthony grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Anthony. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.

History: Roger was born the youngest of three triplets. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. The war was a terrible time for her, and Jacoba does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Jacoba was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Her addictions have taken their toll on her wallet, and she has found herself with a great deal of debt owed.
