History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Arnold grew up listening to his mother's many stories. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Jane's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. She has never given up on her painting dream.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and she is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Godfrey alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and to clean up the streets
