History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When Gerard reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Guard responsibilities is difficult; and sabotage a competitor

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Ahlyssa abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance.
