Thomas's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: Avelina was born with her father's beautiful face. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town.
