History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Elysande grew up listening to her father's many stories. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Bather. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He moved out south to avoid the crime he committed. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.
