History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shield.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and to reunite with his old friends

She and her family wandered west to less war torn lands. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and wishes to resurrect an old love
