History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Lance alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind.
