History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Egelina grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her parents were killed by drow in a raid when she was still a young child. The drow captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has never given up on her singing dream.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and she desires to right it

History: Born in the south to a Blacksmith, Bertram learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
